the world and have shared the stage
with many "greats".
Mike Maas, the "Red Devil" himself
leads this group of all star musicians.

Mike Maas
Singer - Songwriter, multi - instrumentalist,
the "Red Devil" himself leads this group of
all star musicians. Mike is a regular cast
member and the resident songwriter at Liars
Holographic Radio Theatre located at the
Campbell-Steele Art Gallery in Marion, Iowa.
A former member of the eclectic band
Black Sheep, Mike has taken his music
around the world. Snarly guitars and vocals
that will knock your socks off.

Carlis Faurot
An electrifying violinist, brings to the group
a mastery of the instrument unequaled
in this area. Also a former member of the
Band "Black Sheep" His improvisational style
on acoustic and electric violin with violin
triggered synthesizer along with his rich
baritone voice take RDD to another level.

"Evan" Vulich
Bass - This man has been around the block.
(sorry Evan - I know that doesn't mean what
they think it means). Playing for years in
places like Shreveport, Lousianna, and
throughout the south, Evan has a feel for
the Blues and World Music like no other.

Marty Colbert
Singer - Songwriter and guitarist. The former
leader and Guru of the band "Blue Zone"
steps into the band with great talent and
considerable experience. Signature vocals,
rock-steady rhythm & slide guitar.

Dennis McPartland
Percussionist - Long time L.A. studio musician,
Dennis and his wife, Julie decided that Iowa is
a great place to raise kids - and still play your
heart out. Dennis is a busy man. He teaches
as well as writes and performs with the
Daugherty-McPartland Group. He has
performed around the world, toured in Russia
and has performed in venues like
the "Blue Note" in New York City.

Joel Richard Dierks
was born in Farmington, MN in 1963 and picked up
the saxophone while attending Jr. High School in
Bozeman, MT in 1976. While in High School, he
studied privately and played with numerous jazz
ensembles including those at nearby University of
Illinois in Urbana/Champaign. While attending
Eastern Illinois University, he majored in Music
Performance for a short time but graduated with a
degree in Engineering in 1985. After college,
Joel continued to play regularly with local musicians
in Champaign, IL, St. Louis, MO and Quincy, IL
before moving to Cedar Rapids, IA in 2002 where
he currently holds the lead alto chair with the CR
Jazz Big Band.

Rod Ellenberger
is a trumpet player, singer and rhythm guitar player
with over twenty years of musical experience who
has led the NTS BAND in the Cedar Rapids area for
the past year. He has studied music at Kirkwood
and Coe College and has played lead trumpet for
the jazz ensembles at those schools. He has been
a leader of contemporary worship music at Lovely
Lane United Methodist Church and is currently a
member of the CR Jazz Ensemble.
